Took my daughter and her mate to Twickenham for the gig there on saturday with Beyonce and a load of other shite whilst me and Mrs 2112 headed up to Camden Town for the afternoon. Well fuck me how big is that market there? We got lost in the horse stables and thought we'd be needing a search and rescue to find the way out. Loads of shite being sold but amongst it all there is some great stuff. Really made me want to be 18 again as you really could have a ball with some of the the fashion wear. Great to see loads of Vinyl records on sale there, easily the most shops/stalls I've seen in one place and as an avid collector of vinyl I had to go cold turkey for the day otherwise i'd still be there now looking.

Definetly heading back there before Christmas.

When i went it was full of weird poser type people. A load of them were wearing 1970s headphones that werent even plugged into anything, the cable just swining about. Also, i shit you not, some **** who looked like jarvis cocker was riding a scaled down penny farthing

Never been to the market, but every time I've been in Camden I couldn't get out quick enough. Not that I dislike Camden, I just spent most of my time there in huge fucking traffic jams and I literally couldn't get out. Mind you, that's the same all over London and one of the reasons I dislike the place so much.

I saw a kid wearing the Maroon City away shirt with Aguero on the back and as I walked past him I said 'allright Blue' and nodded. I think he was South American and thought I was going to attack him, don't think he noticed my City pin badge or MCFC rucksack. Sign of the times I suppose.

-- Mon Jun 03, 2013 1:31 pm --

Yeah getting through Kew to get to Twickenham was a fucking nightmare. The sister-in-law used to live at the side of Kew Green years ago, no wonder she fucking moved.

I love Camden Town. It is what it is, and some great people there. It has always had that vibe about it, great markets and unlike the more artificial parts of London which have recently copied Camden and try to be cool. Most places there are laid back for a night out playing great music and unpretentious.

I use to go most Sundays before I started playing footy again to have a gander. Even better place in this weather!

Did you see the rubber dingie festival they had on the canal?

I'm presently sat 5 minutes walk away from Camden Market. I love working in the area.

You've got to visit at the right time to find what you want and I'd avoid Sundays all together. You're right when you say there's some crap for sale but if you know what you want and from where then you're laughing. I get alot of t-shirts, badges and stuff for my house there.

There was a stall there that designs record vinyl into clocks, any design you want on it. Got a few ideas of something unique and should have got the fella's details instead i'll have to go back sometime soon now. Only thing I disliked was too many shops selling too many of the same t-shirts etc but look beyond that and there was some great stuff.

No I missed the dingie festival, probably due to the fact it felt like I was Mr. Benn where I walked into the back of one shop and fell out into this surreal world on the other side called the horse stables and couldn't find our way out for ages haha.

I like what i've seen of it too .....

if i ever move down south , Camden Town will be a serious consideration for my new abode .... i like the vibe and the general 'busy-ness' of the area , always something goin' on!

Mamba likes boogieing , people watching , pussy sniffing , and walking around packed markets .... although not in any particular order !

I can't get enough of Camden, i try to get down every 2-3 weeks as i just love the atmosphere and some top boozers as well. Heading down on Wednesday for 4 nights for the Roses gig at Finsbury Park

Your house wears t-shirts and badges? Strange.
