Camden Town

I love Camden Market!

I've really been struggling to find poorly made clothing with that stupid Moustache logo all over it. Not too mention plastic novelty wine bottle holders.

I like what i've seen of it too .....

if i ever move down south , Camden Town will be a serious consideration for my new abode .... i like the vibe and the general 'busy-ness' of the area , always something goin' on!

Mamba likes boogieing , people watching , pussy sniffing , and walking around packed markets .... although not in any particular order !

You'll pay for it in Camden. Be a bit more savvy and live a short bus ride or walk away.

Very much this. My mate lives on Fortess Road in Kentish Town and he pays £2k a month for a 3 bedroom flat (well, his company do). Cracking place though, love Camden Locks for a night out.

Camden Town and Maritime Greenwich are the two places I always make sure to hit when I'm in London. Can't get enough of the two.

Now we're talking. I work closely with most UK Universities, University of Greenwich at the Royal Naval College is stunning.

You can get a great feed at the market and there are a few decent pubs.

I went to Camden one night whilst staying in London to look up a friend. I go into this boozer where he said he drank and ask the landlord had he seen him. The landlord is sporting a black eye and has got his arm in a sling... Yes you guessed it only the lad I'm looking for had give him a kicking two days before...He informed me that "the Kant is in Pentonville nick", his words.

Loads of pubs though, you would certainly be drunk if you did a pub crawl down the main drag.

Completely agree. Tons of great boozers. Sitting on the green there overlooking the old Naval College, you can wile away a great day. Thames Riverwalk is decent as well. Usually spend a solid day out there.

I'm staying in Greenwich for 3 nights later in the week. Only been once and that was about 3 years ago to the market, can you recommend where the best pubs are mate?

I love Greenwich, I'd go more often if it wasn't an hour and a half to get to. Some great pubs next to the Cutty Sark.

There is the Greenwich Union which is about 10 minutes from the market/main street.

I usually head down the river walk (in the diretion of the O2) half mile or so. Just past the powerplant there's the Cutty Sark which is exellent. Then retrace your steps to the Trafalgar. Have the whitebait there, best in Greenwich. Great view of the Thames and Isle of Dogs at both of those. Usually head to the old Brewery next on the grounds of the Naval college. Perfect for drinking outside. Right around the DLR station is the Gypsy Moth and Spanish Galleon, both very nice. Around the covered market you have the Coach and Horses and the Admiral Hardy. Just up the hill right of the Maritime Museum is the Lord Byron. That should get you started at least.

Really love the Cutty Sark. Kind of hidden away, all wood and they have an outside patio right on the water. After that the Meantime brewery at the Naval College is nicce and relaxing. Lots to enjoy.

Note: I'm talking about the Cutty Sark Tavern, not the ship itself. Although the ship is worth a visit, newly remodeled around it and restored.
