OLD TRAFFORD IS FALLING DOWN
Anyone do these regularly? (weather permitting, good time of year, etc)

Saw a cracking tent cheap in the summer sales about 2 months back, so we got that and headed over to Edale in the Peak District, around 45 minutes from town on the train. The place we stayed at was £6.50 per person per night, so we took advantage of two days dry weather and 2 nights stay came to £26. Nice walks, decent little pubs (ate out both nights - quite inexpensive), close to Sheffield if you fancy something busier, and also a nice walk over the hills to Castleton, where we visited a few showcaves and had food and drink.

From £100 each for the whole trip we had change - felt this was worth it.

Anyone got any other good places to share?
