Anyone else camping for the Bayern game? I've found a site which is 15 mins from the centre, and has a tram stop nearby which runs day and night its only £20 a night per tent or £7 for a space in a huge tent.

I stopped off at Munich 30 years ago during an Inter Rail summer holiday. We stayed in a place called The Tent. It was brilliant, and cheap. Everyone just found a space to doss down with their sleeping bags in this massive tent. It is still there.

Yep, that's the one. Don't take your own tent though. Go in the main unisex tent (if it's still the same). Great experience at the time. Brings back memories.

why camp when you can stay here for £30 a night

Where did you get that price from mate? It's showing 90 euros a night for me.

I'm not sure if that was a serious question but if it is - I'd rather camp and spend £40 for 2 people for 2 nights, than stay in a hostel which gets absolutely dreadful reviews (318 out of 389 on TA) and spend £360 for 2 nights.

The £160 i'm saving will also cover my flights to Villareal and my digs for 4 nights.

I stayed there when I went to the beer festival.

Absolute carnage. Take a warm sleeping bag though as it gets very cold at night. Thankfully there was a big group of girls nearby so one of them kept me warm at night.

Would you say its a good place to stay then? I'm led to believe it only 15 minutes on the tram into the centre and they practically run all night?
