Can’t add pictures to PM / DM

Maybe finger trouble but I can’t add pictures to direct or private messages. when I click the photo icon I get a box for a link and I’ve tried posting photo links there from my Google Drive but that doesn’t work either.

Can any of the mods give me some guidance or tell me what I’m doing wrong please

Try using Imgur instead of Google drive or try posting generic links on mainstream sites.

You can't drop an image in a PM (but you can in a post) so it might be that the settings for private messages block certain categories of link to prevent wrognuns abusing this feature and people via PM.
