I hear you brother, I really do. It was the same for me. However I know how I felt at the time and it was shite if I'm honest. It also shaped the way I see football and City and our fans today and for that I'm grateful. I'm absolutely buzzing at the moment and kind of feel like the waiting has ended. We are now brilliantly run football club. The Rags will be feeling horrible. What I enjoy the most though is the fact that a lot of their supporters don't know how to handle this. They are in territory unfamiliar to them. They were bread differently to us. They were bread on a successfull club winning constantly, their lives shaped by it. Their characters shaped by it. Watching them now like fish out of water struggling to cope with the head fuck that is actually going on is all the joy I need. I'm not stooping to their level of mockery and arrogance. I pitty them because they are lost on a path I've already tread.I got over 35 years in the bank of those arrogant rag twats giving it the big I am.
Am going to give it them anytime I can.
Whilst they are down I will kick them in the bollocks in a heartbeat.
Fuck them.

All fine and well, but if we're losing it'll look a bit stupid, why not just support City, and avoid sinking to their level. We should take the piss out of the rags and particularly the scousers a hell of a lot more than we currently do.
At wembley there should be non stop choruses of you nearly won the league and the gerrard song. Let's really rub the cunts noses in it.
How those rags used to rub it in when we ere lickle owd Ciddy. Bertie maghoo bitter massives. We were no threat to them, Like a flea ridden dog with distemper, they would kick us when we were down, and boy was we down! I hated Monday mornings at work when they would queue up to gloat and take the piss, especially after they'd thrashed us in Derby games!
They never ever thought we would be a threat to them, especially when Fergie was winning everything whilst we languished(at best) mid table, and let's not forget all those relagations/promotions we had under numerous managers. We were almost forever in transition from the Mercer/Allison era to Thaksin buying us. Constant managerial changes, a new manager would come in, be given a transfer kitty, weed out the deadwood to be then sacked, and the next manager would do the same, we were forever in transition as a club.
Nothing really changed till 'Thickskin Shitorwhatra' bought us, that's when we started to play catch up. Really got the media sit up and take notice in '08 when Sheikh (Willy Wonka) Mansour awarded us his last golden ticket! Owd Slugworth Wenger and the purple nosed piss can really hated us as did their fans for our newfound nouveau riche wealth. Our opulent council house didn't look right to the toffee nosed cartel that was once the constant top 4. Just think, if Sheikh Mansour wanted, he could pimp it up and paint the place in gold leaf, that would fuckin' sicken 'em!
I always said to any rag that would care to listen that when Fergie retired, that's when they would lose their dominance and be in transition as the successor(Moyes) had to rip up Fergie's magic mantle of success and instil his own ways, to gain any credibility whatsoever from the media. Same goes for Van Gall, and he too is equally fucking them up as Moyes did! lol.
I'm taking our up rise and success in my stride, and even nowadays, I have to pinch myself on how far we've come. It is not too long ago when Dikov rescued us from possibly being forever in a football wilderness, and i'll never forget that and many other moments of joy and sorrow following the blues before the moneymen came.
Here's to the future, let's drink and be merry!
Do you get this more in central manc and the surrounding M postcodes as I have never had anyone call me a bitter, a Bertie, use the word massive, citeh, lickle old ciddy etc etc.
All of my mates and people I know locally are either rags, Liverpool, Everton or City and the only thing I do get is empty seats. The rags I know who go hate what they are becoming and the shit they serve up weekly but they don't begrudge what we have generally. The scousers generally have been fine because they hate the rags.
I tend to only ever find the real bitterness and stuff on forums mostly posted by people who don't go. However having never lived in the centre, I can't vouch for that. Is it completely different?
As we grow remorselessly into one of the world's most powerful and successful clubs, can we, as City fans, learn how to handle ourselves with class and dignity?
Despite all the triumphs that will be coming our way over the years, can we avoid becoming arrogant gits like all the ones we have faced ourselves for decades?
Or would we all rather be loud mouthed, abnoxious twats, taking the piss out of the Scum and Scouse fans et al and gloat non stop for a decade or so?
Just wondering...
JJ
They've been calling us all that shit for years mate, and they still sing the "Citeh are a 'massive' club" song. Having said that, the match going rags I know locally are generally ok, it's the ubiquitous rag Sky s/c holders that come from anywhere except Manchester that are the real wankers!Do you get this more in central manc and the surrounding M postcodes as I have never had anyone call me a bitter, a Bertie, use the word massive, citeh, lickle old ciddy etc etc.

I agree that most songs resonate more when we're winning but even if we're losing we can take solace in the fact that failing to win the league hurt them way more than failing to win the league cup would hurt us.All fine and well, but if we're losing it'll look a bit stupid, why not just support City, and avoid sinking to their level.
I have been working all over mainland UK for over 14 years and drank in many a pub with supporters of many clubs. Before the money came we seemed to be a club that many of those supporters liked, acknowledging the fact that we were/are proper supporters whilst (mostly) being in the shadow of Man-ure. A few have given it the 'glory hunter' remark to which I usually quip "I've been a glory hunter since the early 70's!" Like I say, the rags with no connection to Manchester or real affinity to United are the ones that are the most gobby. Quite a few times I've shut them up in fron of their mates with "i bet I've been to Old Trafford more than you and i'm a blue"!They've been calling us all that shit for years mate, and they still sing the "Citeh are a 'massive' club" song.
