Passing backwards cannot be avoided!!

Heaps of moaning today when ever a City player dare pass it backwards to the centre backs or when one of them knocks it sideways to the other. It can't be avoided! If there's nothing on going forward then you have to go back, switch the play and start again.

That's not being negative, every single team does that.

Of course there are times when we have to pass sideways or backwards, but the problem is we are doing it far too often, whether that is because of a lack of movement, a lack of belief or a lack of desire is open to debate, but we are far too slow in our build up, making it far too easy for the opposition to get their defence sorted out.
