This bastard week is sheer limbo. I don't know agree with the chicken counters but equally, I do not agree with the complacency merchants. The middle way is to look at it rationally, have a think about our most recent performances and results and take account of the fact that we had no problems last season. No sign of Typical City last season. I am wildly optimistic without being arrogant. Teams who need titles/promotions tend to win their final games and City's old loser mentality went out the door the day shen we won the FA Cup last season and finished third in the league and achieved CL qualification at a canter.
Meanwhile, QPR are utter shit and the Stadium of Light will be the Chorlton Street bus park.
And then there is just this tiny fear of some fluke occuring, but I think that's the only way we'd miss out and flukes are not common things, which is why they are called flukes, of course.
All that said, I literally cannot concentrate on anything at all and I seriously cannot stop thinking about Sunday. This week will be easier on the rags than it is on us because they've already mostly thrown in the towel and are probably having a not especially anxious time of it.
I'd be far more worried than I am, though, if it were anyone but QPR we were playing. They're so seriously shit away from home. They don't even know how to park a bus. We will slaughter them if we hold our nerve.
