In their own way, quirky statistics define a club's identity as much as its trophy haul:
Only Champions to be relegated; last team to win the league title with an all English squad; last team to score and concede a hundred top flight goals in the same season.
All these stats are often quoted on here, and more widely, as evidence of our club's provenance and as a rebuttal that City are a club that lacks soul or identity.
So winning the cup without conceding a goal, whilst not important per se would doubtless be one of those stats that I, and other blues my age, will be telling our grandkids about in a couple of decades.
That makes it pretty important to me.
