This. I'd be delighted with 4th and/or a trophy. Yet to see anything to suggest we can catch Chelsea, United or Arsenal. Would love to be proven wrong!

No, I don't, sorry. Like everyone I'm impressed with the start under Mancini, but those are matches we'd be expecting to win if we were mid table. If/when we start getting results against the title contenders, I'll start believing. Until then, I'm comfortable aiming for fourth, because City playing Champions League is something I never thought I'd see.

And in case you're wondering, yes I do often get told I'm less optimistic than the average City fan (both Mancs and Aussies tell me that all the time!).

We need to do the same though at the away fixtures...If we had closed out the games against Fulham, Burnley and Hull then we would now be joint in points with the scum and a game in hand...then, I would have thought it a more realistiv prospect. Still, given the fact that other top four teams are dropping points all over the place, I dont think you can fully discount the possibility of it happening, its unlikely though but stranger things have happened. Still, I say why not try and win the league and maybe get 3rd? Champions league football is key to our season, to give us a better stance in the summer transfer market, anything else is a bonus...league cup included...

I think we can win it this season. I no longer think top 4 should be the aim, it should be top 3 at least. I know its all still on a high with Bobby Manc, but we look unbeatable. Silly mistake by Kompany, granted, but I would say we as a team were in gear 2 of 6 last night. We look awesome and have home games against 2 of the 'big 4'. I can't wait for Saturday. That will be a test for the new manager, as its fair to say the games so far have been games we would be expected to win. If we win away at Everton, people have to start taking us more seriously.

By that philosophy you must've believed we were a good chance of winning the title at the end of the one win from 10 run, simply because we'd beaten Arsenal and Chelsea? Those results would count, if they weren't cancelled out by a bunch of abysmal results. Anyway we can debate it as much as we like, it's a matter of opinion. Until I see us getting results against the contenders under Mancini, and showing consistency, I don't believe we can win it. If you do, best of luck to you, and I sure as hell hope you're right and I'm not!!

I'll second that. Things are ace and I'm loving it and getting a bit carried away! It'll be interesting to see how the team reacts when (if!) we lose one though

My main concern is injury's to our squad our defence is still thin and we could do with a couple more players coming in to strenghten that area as both Toure and Lescott have not set the league on fire with there display's and if Toure get's injured while away at the ACN we could be in the mire in that dept.

Midfield seems to be ok maybe just maybe with Stevie Ireland not hitting top form yet and struggling with injury's that a playmaker could be needed someone who can create something out of nothing

Attack Here's is where it could go all wrong Tevez is on fire at the moment but what happens if he stops scoring ?
Adebayour is out for god know how long . Benjani for me is not good enough for a top4 / title push .
Robinho who knows whats going on in his head . And Bellemy his head seems to have gone since Hughes left.

If we are going to push for a top 4 or even more. In my option we need a proven goal scorer to help ease the burden off the others

Or have i got it all wrong ??
