That's fair comment but it was Damo who elected to equate being chubby with harbouring chronic insecurities, especially when it comes to women. I've had my share of heartache btw, most of it, ultimately, self-inflicted, but I've broadly retained my same reserves of self-belief with regards to women. Not saying that for any reason other than to point out that what Damo has posted is palpably wrong as far as I'm concerned.

I have a feeling Damocles' quip was more a swipe at the threads silver-tongued lothario than a commentary of societal norms as a whole ;-)

I would hesitate to say an unfair and immature swipe, even.

Well, this thread certainly got odd. Antiunited is like the Misogynistic version of Gooner2. Both genders have their fair share of arseholes, but to label an entire gender on the actions of a few? Madness.
