'Cant be Bothered' Performances

Just texted a mate about this. Im in two minds about Mancini but I have to say that these type of performances have been a regular thing this year. Apart from the defeats away from home we could all list how many poor shows at home that we've still managed to win.

What causes it? Any ideas?

Just at home? There's been plenty away as well!

I don't think we can fully say what it is without knowing things that go on behind closed doors. Are the players lacking motivation? If so, why?

I am a BIG Mancini fan - let me make that clear. But if the players lack motivation then that IS the managers fault 100%. That's his fucking job!

I would rather have been facing chelsea again yesterday, as we only seem capable of playing to the best of our abilities when up against a top team. This has been the case all season.

If that is true, and Im not certain it is, why leave our 100% model professional Milner out of the starting line up? If ever a game was made for him, that was it. Also why take off the hardest working player, Tevez?

This is still the biggest difference between us and rags. They simply try their hardest in every game. They put the jersey on and battle. Even when we thumped them 6:1 at OT they tried. We outclassed them but they fought hard. But we don't. I don't understand this. If any of us had the ability and opportunity to play for city we would die on that pitch rather then just give a luke warm shift as we did yesterday. If they need someone to motivate them I will be quite happy to do that.

It's all about the cash for these players not the club. Obviously there are a couple that give it all every game. It's shocking.

The whole team has fallen into a massive comfort zone. They know no matter what they do they're the first choices on the team sheet because Mancini only has one plan.

The only exceptions this season are Zabaleta, because he's Zabaleta. Nastasic because he's been ousting Lescott, and Milner because he's been fighting to get into the team in general.

Funnily enough for all those who champion stability, it's probably a level of instability we need to shake things up and get everyone back impressing again.

These cant be arsed performances are bringing the "Typical City" tag back, after all we've achieved. We most certainly need a change somewhere.

Fantastic performances in the two remaining games wont cut it, in fact it would only serve to make the result of yesterdays game more frustrating than it already is.

It is so clearly a management issue and Mancini must carry the can.

We have an abundance of top class players and for some reason they are all failing to perform at levels they have previously. Go figure !
