Capital 1 Cup or 3pts ?

The title was thrown away in 2012 and 2014 but we now need three clubs to do it. I fancy Spurs to grind it out.

The title was won in both cases by City applying pressure.

All three have played so far, without any pressure whatsoever. Non will be able to win games when they have it all to lose, imo. City know they can, if they turn up.

If we had to pick....I'd go for the Capital one cup!....After the ups and downs of the season so far and the poor performances we've shown, I'll be happy with a Capital one cup win, top 3 in the prem and last 8 of the CL.....Would love for us to get to the semi's in the CL but think we still missing a few players before we can be serious threat to win it.......If we can hit those targets I think we in a good position for next season when Pep arrives.......with a stronger midfield and better formation/system next season...no reason why we cant win it all!;)

Capital One for me. It's doubtful whether 3 gained points would win us the PL or 3 points lost would cost us top 4.

Anyhow, here's how it goes.

City win at Anfield= Liverpool understandably deflated after losing Cup final, or tired due to heroic efforts winning cup final. City fortunate to play them at this time.

Liverpool win at Anfield= suitable revenge for cup final defeat or confirmation of superiority & a pointer to them surpassing City next season. City past it, can't play two games.

Great we won the Cup, but 3pts would have been really handy with the 3 teams above us all losing points.
4th looking shaky as well.

Would anyone change their mind about winning the Cup ?

Is the top 4 more important then the Capital Cup ?

As pleased as I was to win, I cannot fathom why Pellegrini prioritised the CC1 cup so much.

I think we'd be at least 6 points better off if he hadn't.

The semi v everton at home was one of our best performances of the season domestically (not many to chose from). I'd have much preferred it if that had been in the league and KDB had not got injured.

Pellegrini's treatment of our young players has been shameful. He ignored them for the CC1 cup and them hang them out to dry in the FA Cup, Now he's ignoring them again when some of them played really well and showed they had something. I don't get it at all.
