Manchester City fans won't miss any action on the pitch while 'doing the Poznan' in future, sort of.

The supporters have made the goal celebration, where they turn their backs, link arms and jump up and down, their own after witnessing it being done by fans of Lech Poznan.

Manuel Pellegrini's side booked their place in the final by hitting nine goals past struggling West Ham without reply over two legs.

And with City plundering goals for fun this season followers may well be expecting a hat-full against Sunderland on Sunday in the League Cup Final.

Capital One have designed one-off wing-mirrored sunglasses so they can still see the pitch while they bounce away - should they get the goal glut they are dreaming of.

The polish side visited Eastlands in October 2010 in a game that was remarkable not only for a rare Emmanuel Adebayor hat-trick, but also for Poznan followers, widely regarded as the best ever fans to visit their ground by City supporters, treating them to their wacky dance craze.

Since then City fans have been 'doing the Poznan' at grounds up and down the country.

Wembley saw it's first ever Poznan in April 2011 when City saw of their neighbours Manchester United to seal a place in the FA Cup final thanks to a solitary Yaya Toure goal.

They went onto secure their major trophy in 35 years with a 1-0 win over Stoke City - again Toure was the difference.

And with City still fighting on four fronts the Capital One Cup could just be the start of a huge haul of Silverware this season.

Jaidev Janardana, Chief Marketing Officer at Capital One, said: “We know that Manchester City supporters won’t want to miss a moment of this year’s Capital One Cup Final so we hope our innovative sunglasses will help them keep track of all the action.

"We’re looking forward to what is sure to be a thrilling match and hope it’s a fantastic day for both sets of fans.”

Nifty but perhaps a little late as we rarely do the Poznan any more

Yeh why is that? Always thought it was quite unique to us to be honest, so I dont see why we dont do it.

Nice marketing ploy regardless of them being two years too late.
The amount they spent making them will be pocket money compared to the free advertising it will attract.

Better than those cardboard animal glasses, Kangaroo, Camel, Elephant etc. that Etihad had us wearing in the hope that we'd win a flight. Do we win a credit card with £1000 on it for wearing them?
