Captain Needed

With the current squad we have and all the players we've been linked to there still isn't a decent leader/captain amongst them?
Centre half is a position we need to strengthen and that will be a loss to Dunne so whoever we get to replace him needs to also be a leader imo.
It's no good having a strong squad without a character amongst them to guide us in the right direction.

Who's upto the job?

Ireland Kompany or Robbie for me

all asble to command other players and not scared of being vocal

I was thinking Ireland myself but i think at the moment the extra responsibilty might effect his game as he's very focused on just that at the moment.
I don't think Kompany is experienced enough to have the respect from the rest of the squad.
Robbie is not vocal enough and not strong enough a character.

Would love it to be Barry, I still don't hink we have a real leader apart from Given.

Maybe this is part of the package on offer to Barry? Its been mentioned before that MH could go out and buy a captain and he has proved a good leader at Villa. The idea of coming to us and lifting a trophy (or lots hopefully) could appeal to him and Spurs can't offer that since they used it as bait to lure Robbie Keane back.
