Just read on Skytext Tevez saying he expects to be back in the team in a couple of weeks and does not expect to be dropped with him being the club captain??

After looking I cannot see anywhere Mancini stating he has been dropped as Captain so does this mean Tevez is correct and he is still our captain and not Vinny?

The thing is i've also not seen anywhere that Macnini has publically said that Vincent Kompany is officially the club captain. If Tevez is given that armband ever again it's a disgrace!

He shouldn't be. It would send out all kinds of bad messages to the team if he was reinstated.

tvz captaincy is over. mancini avoids to make news of it not to cause any fuss.

To be fair if he has come out with this in the last couple of days and expects to be back in the team in a coupe of weeks as captain I would say it is pretty relevant current news.

It may not be correct but think it is pretty important for the team to understand who the captainis. I would not like to think of the dummy out of pram tantrum from Tevez if he is not captain but thinks he is and mancini has just not told him.

I agree that is my concern that he still thinks he is. This could rock what has become a very steady boat.

No chance. He is no longer nailed on to start every game. Vincent is a permanent fixture at the back more or less so he should remain captain. Tevez will be rotated if he is to play a part prior to an anticipated move in January.

We have enough problems with one Captain who barely speaks English,let alone onother one !!

In a season where there will be a lot of rotation between the forwards, having Tervez captain would be ridiculous for that reason alone.

Add that to the fact he handed in a transfer request! I really wanted him to stay, and I'm glad he has, but not as captain. Kompany should be captain, I think with De Jong vice.

The captain HAS to be someone who plays every game.

Amended for accuracy,but I know what you meant.
At the end of the day its also down to players who are held in esteem by the other players,aka Kompany,de Jong,Zaba,Barry,Yaya etc.

Tevez can't expect to return and be captain after all the moaning and transfer requests, our captain should be Vinny or Nige as they are natural born leaders and can speak English unlike Tevez who couldn't be bothered to, if Tevez does think he will return and be captain then he is just being deluded, he doesn't care enough about us to be captain
