I'm surprised Mancini hasn't 'worded' Tevez already to stop him making a bit of a fool of himself by making statements that are highly unlikely to turn out to be true. Tell the fella you're glad he's still part of the squad (even if you have to lie), but that recent events make it inappropriate for him to remain captain.

Kolo had the captaincy taken away from him without having done anything wrong just so Bobby could accomodate Tevez. He shouldn't have any qualms of giving it to Vinny on a permenant basis as Kompany is the future of the club and Tevez could be gone in January.

Several weeks ago it was widely reported (certainly in the Independent and in the Guardian) that a number of 'senior' players went to Roberto (in April / May?) to request that Carlos be replaced as captain. If true, that is sufficient reason for Vincent to keep the captaincy permanently.

Roberto has presumably been trying to make a permanent change with a minimum of fuss. Sadly, from his recent comments, Carlos is too foolish to see that it is in his own best interests that the change be a low-key affair. Or perhaps he really does believe that he is the club's 'symbol' and that, as such, he has a divine right to the captaincy!

Surely even Tevez, with a very limited amount of grey matter between his ears, should be able to understand that a player who has very publicly been agitating for a move away from the club since January and who has gone on national TV in his home country to publicy belittle the city in which he works and lives should have no right to the captaincy. If he can't then it speaks volumes about his mindset and the fact that he is living in some sort of bubble bearing little resemblance to reality.

That's about right. This is the same guy who had to have thousands of pounds of redecoration work done after he had a barbecue inside his house, and had to call his fixer because he couldn't get the TV to work when it wasn't plugged in. Great footballer, but he's thick as four short planks and I'm afraid I don't credit him with the common sense to spot that he's not Bob's numero uno choice as El Capitan.

We have enough problems with one Captain who barely speaks English,let alone onother one !!

Oh yeah, there was that as well. I'm not Mensa material but I lived in Germany for 3 years and still managed to come away with more than just the ability to shout "IS OKAY! IS NO PROLEM!" to every question.

Hasn't he had a few motoring related shenanigins as well?
 
I do not believe that Tevez will stay after january, esspecialy after this summer "I want my mummy" attitude he had.Also, I'm not sure how he function with silva and nasri, who (something like xavi and iniesta), helped with with Dzeko or/and Kun in top form, are main engine of this team.At least when the attacking play is in question.
