Car Battery Kill Switch with Remote Control

Have a parasitic drain on my WAV Sprinter and if I don’t start it every other day then the battery has insufficient power to crank it.

AA couldn’t find it and suggested a Kill Switch. I thought there was were only them clunky looking manual ones, but now see remote control ones.

Anyone tried them?

Sounds perfect for my situation but have a worry bead.

Are they reliable if fitted correctly and, should it fail and isolate the battery whilst driving, what would be the likely consequences?
I have exactly the same problem. Been using a starter pack for 18months now. The problem is worse in colder weather. The drain on mine is the alarm i think.

Wouldn’t the Alternator maintain services?

If the car is not used much like just 1/3 times a week and occasional rarely on some cars the battery is trickling out to something that a mechanic can’t find even the error showing up can’t be found! Then the car can not start.

I mean whilst driving

I got that but if the battery is trickling out charge to something and it’s not used or recalled for more than twenty mins alternater doesn’t fully charge the battery then it’s not used for 3 days or more it will not start!

Which comes back to square one
I was getting a definite sense of Déjà vu myself...

Never tried one myself (I had to Google what a WAV Sprinter was as well) but perhaps a mechanical switch on the dash, but away from easy access to avoid accidents (literally) would be better? The only downsides offhand I think of is that your car alarm either won't work or won't shut up? How are the doors opened? If it's remote locking that would cause a problem although the remote kill switch could be back on the table then. Don't some doors automatically unlock if the power is killed?

I'm guessing it's not a drain. I do the above and a lot of stop/start short trips so not putting much charge into the battery.
I think it's the power needed to start mine, what with all the shit like Bluetooth, computer, auto lights etc.?
