It’s a device that disconnects your car battery on the press of a remote fob. Used by many as a security device but also used to stop a battery draining if not used regularlyIf anyone has the slightest clue what the above posters are babbling on about feel free to enlighten me.
Thank you.

Have a parasitic drain on my WAV Sprinter.
I have exactly the same problem. Been using a starter pack for 18months now. The problem is worse in colder weather. The drain on mine is the alarm i think.Have a parasitic drain on my WAV Sprinter and if I don’t start it every other day then the battery has insufficient power to crank it.
AA couldn’t find it and suggested a Kill Switch. I thought there was were only them clunky looking manual ones, but now see remote control ones.
Anyone tried them?
Sounds perfect for my situation but have a worry bead.
Are they reliable if fitted correctly and, should it fail and isolate the battery whilst driving, what would be the likely consequences?
Wouldn’t the Alternator maintain services?
I mean whilst drivingIf the car is not used much like just 1/3 times a week and occasional rarely on some cars the battery is trickling out to something that a mechanic can’t find even the error showing up can’t be found! Then the car can not start.
Surely the AA is just to ger car started and safeYour AA man simply couldn’t be arsed mate.
Get into a local auto electrician, they will sort it in no time.
What if that fails and starts draining batteryIt’s a device that disconnects your car battery on the press of a remote fob. Used by many as a security device but also used to stop a battery draining if not used regularly
If it fails it’s mainly in the open cct modeWhat if that fails and starts draining battery

Which is why I started the threadI got that but if the battery is trickling out charge to something and it’s not used or recalled for more than twenty mins alternater doesn’t fully charge the battery then it’s not used for 3 days or more it will not start!
Which is why I started the thread
Which comes back to square oneThe best way is to detach the battery if not capable has to be a remote cut off!
I was getting a definite sense of Déjà vu myself...Which comes back to square one
I'm guessing it's not a drain. I do the above and a lot of stop/start short trips so not putting much charge into the battery. If the car is not used much like just 1/3 times a week and occasional rarely on some cars the battery is trickling out to something that a mechanic can’t find even the error showing up can’t be found!
