This!!! Paid £450 for 2 weeks for a Peugeot 307 from Malaga in August.

It is a fortune. I've booked a Ford Fusion for two weeks at the start of August from Alicante airport and it was £307

The cheapest I've found is Record or Amigo and when you've got your quote forward it to Auto Europe's link that's guaranteed to beat the price and see what they come up with. Sometimes they'll duff it by tens of pounds and other times just beat it by pennies, but they will only sell you a hire car that's fully insured

Used to work in the rental business and now live in Spain.Very expensive for various reasons...However,keep away from the big boys and use the web.There are a lot of 'agencies 'and 'Off airport firms' out there who actually use the fleets of the big boys and can offer reasonable rates.Problem is,as always in peak season,the price will rocket.Expedia are also good

Check out carhire3000 .....Manchester based (I think), I picked up a car in Menorca two years ago for £80 off them for a week. They use a lot of ex pats who hire their cars out.

This crowd are very popular in Menorca

Just remembered I used Carhire3000 for the Europa over in Schalke and that was cheap as chips too.
