Car question

Thanks for advice everyone

As I said either blocked DPF or EGR valve - the 1.3 diesel in the Corsa ( also used in other Vauxhalls and FIAT's) doesn't respond well to a life on light throttle just driving around town - needs a damn good thrashing now and again. If that doesn't work its possibly a leaky injector seal

I had a diesel Zafira 2.0 dti ( different engine same stable ) and it happened to me a few times - I went back with it once to say I had done that but it hadn't done the job and the service manager took the keys and said he would sort it.
A bit later the phone went there was laughter and someone went out - half an hour later my Zaifra was towed in and I got a courtesy car.

Turns out he was giving it the beans up the by-pass - I suspect maxing it in 2nd - and had blown the engine. The water pump had seized the drive belt had shredded and we had piston damage and rockers snapped. As it was a company car my employer insisted on a new engine not a rebuild. That was two and a half years old and @ 90k miles - somebody got a bargain 6 months later when that went to auction - yeah the body had done nearly 100k but the engine only did another 10k ish after I got it back
