Car vandalised

No information to go on? They’ve literally got the address of the car parks and know the future dates of when they’ll be used. That local Police Station round there is full of lazy ****s; an ex of mine lives in Newton Heath and she has a problem with drug dealers down her road at night and the Police have done absolutely nothing about it, despite constant calls to report it.

ACAB!

Your final remark speaks volumes.

Firstly my cars are my pride and joy-I would be heartbroken if they were damaged at a game-especially if I had paid with the expectation they would be marshalled. BUT what do you expect the police to do exactly? I'd welcome your ideas. Its almost impossible to stop.

As for the ex of yours-yes its horrible. She needs to keep reporting it and/or write a letter/email of complaint. Unfortunately the world we live in is full of low level crime. There simply aren't the numbers of officers to go round.

Perhaps you could volunteer your spare time as a special to help out?

Coppers are stretched there is no doubt about that, whoever is being paid by the car parker should patrol the park considering they are charging a tenner for the privilege, at least make an attempt to put the vandals/thieves off.

completely agree-they are clearly not taking responsibility

they are not interested. they have dozens of calls coming in after the games to the report the crime/vandalism, have all the details, but not even a car drives past at the next game.

strangely enough the only police we saw on our way in yesterday were the ones sat in the police van with the camera out of the back window. They simply dont want to get involved

GMP are about as much use as VAR

Often seen with a speed camera on Alan Turing way looking for real criminals doing 31 in a 30 zone
Now there’s real community policing for you

pretty worrying if the stewards on secure parking are not staying during the game.

Re "reporting it to the police". we got ours broken into during the Sheff Utd game with 5 or 6 others on the same car park. Several of us ringing GMP at the same time to report the break-ins, took about 40 mins in total, then immediately got a txt with a crime number saying case closed/filed as they have no information to go on .. or put another way, no interest in helping at all
Give it to Merseyside finest, there still going through all that footage off or smashed bus..

Had my car stolen when we played Southampton at home (Sat 2 Nov) from Bank Bridge Rd at the back of the Velodrome.

Returned after the game to find it gone and glass on the pavement where it had been parked.

Got a call from the Police this week to say they’d recovered the car after stopping it being driven with false plates on and that someone has been arrested.

Thanks to the dickhead who parked in the car wash car park on Ashton new road yesterday, and ended up blocking everybody in. Great move that, well done.

I park on there, it's happened a few times to me as well. A van parked there just didn't return and had to wait for nearly everyone else to leave 30+ minutes at the Leicester game. Never seen any vandalised on there though.

The car park on sunny Lowry road off Alan Turing way was closed today , so looks like the dibble have closed it after all the vandalism in there at port vale game
Good to see it was taken serious

Just a note for those who sometimes park on Ten Acres Lane that they were merrily distributing parking tickets prior to yesterday’s match. Seemed to be the end nearer to where it joins Briscoe Lane.
A couple of years back they introduced a residents only scheme for match days but I don’t think it’s been particularly enforced of late, but looks like they have started again.
