Sentiment shouldn’t come into it,bravo has done well in the earlier rounds, but you play the strongest team possible Ederson plays we will win, bravo plays and I’m not sure simple as that..

like caballero against liverpool in 2014 final nooo?
i really hope that people will stop with this shit hate of bravo...it s fucking anoying and boring already....
Willy is twice the keeper Bravo is though, there lies the difference. There is nothing wrong with people wanting us to play our strongest team in order to give us the best opportunity of silverware.

he is my fuck....the reason why we are in this final is bravo so of course he deserve to play...need to remember what happened last time when the manager played the main keeper in the final instead of the cup keeper? and that goal was the keeper fault

Ederson must play. Bravo done nothing wrong but doesn't instill confidence. Like others have said no room for sentiment, club must come first. If we can wrap the league up early then make sure bravo gets the nessecary games.

That the thing with sentiment. Where does it stop? Should Yaya play because he played in all previous rounds? Should Gundogan? B Silva?

Ederson is almost as important to the way we play as KDB and Silva.

It worked out in 2016 but to be honest Hart wasn’t exactly setting the world on fire then anyway. There wasn’t a huge amount between them.

It ain’t going to happen by the sounds of it but I think that is a mistake. Let’s hope the forwards make it irrelevant

.......................Bravo.........................
.....WALKER.....OTAMENDI......LAPORTE...ZINCHENKO

........................FERNANDINHO...................

................KDB..................SILVA.............

...STERLING...........SERGIO...................SANE

This will be the team ;)
Do you think pep will announce it like this. Ie mumble bravo then confidently shout the rest of the players out ? :)

That's a very dangerous looking team in terms of pace in the transitions.

They save their best performances for Wembley and really shouldn't have stood a chance last season against us and Chelsea.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Welbeck start to try and stretch us in behind.

One thing is guaranteed, Walcott can't score against us this time!!!!

Until Goodison Park

Sorry to disagree with you pal, but that's just my honest opinion. Bernardo is wasted on the wings, he simply offers no threat or penetration. To me he is a silky central midfielder, just not a winger.
The lads not a winger and never will be.
Bernardo is The Magicians long term replacement and always has been.

There should be no room for sentiment in a final. If we win with Eddie in goal Bravo still gets a medal. No brainer for me. Slick fast passing, better decision making in the final third, no silly errors at the back and take our chances. We do that we are likely to win even with Bravo in goal but I really don't want to see him in goal on Sunday.

Ederson

Walker
Kompany
Otamendi
Danillio (just shades it over Zinch for his pace but he doesn't convince me)

De Bruyne
Fernandinhio
Silva

Sterling
Aguero
Sane

Subs pick themselves

Pep has tough decisions to make. He seems to love Gundogan and Bernardo. It'll be fascinating to see what he does.

Spot on mate.

If we dropped Bravo and lost I would always think it was karma for shafting him after playing in all the games. Had the exact same feeling after Hart played instead of Pantilimon in 2013 and it was sods law that we conceded a header that perhaps Pantilimon would have got to.

I don’t get this ‘the reason we’re in the final is coz of Bravo’. Yes he saved penalties, but it could be argued that if Ederson had started it would never have gone to penalties. We looked very shaky v Wolves and failed to score in 120 mins. We struggled v Bristol and Leicester. And we struggled last night.
We’ll never know the outcome of those games if Ederson had started. But there is no doubt Ederson is a far superior keeper and going into a final with less than your best available team makes no sense whatsoever.

Winning trophies is more important than sentimentality- especially when the sentiment has arisen from penalty shoot out saves when we should have and probably could have put the games to bed easily if we’d played our best available keeper.

Jesus, and I don't mean Gabriel...

Such negativity on here

We are no where near your level and it's 80% certain you'll beat us at least

I wish we had those odds

Anyway, I'm going to enjoy going to Wembley despite expecting to get stuffed by you lot

But what the hell...

Yes, get the game won with Ederson and save a sub to play Bravo in the last 20 minutes. Simple.

After last night this now has to be a first team match for the ongoing confidence of the club going into a massive 10 days.

I am very sure the players 'who got us to the final' would rather savour the occasion and a medal that they will have forever than play and lose and be left with nothing but regrets.

I don't think Pep will see it this way, as, laudably, he puts loyalty high on the list. But he will know too that sometimes you have to consider the bigger picture and this game has become bigger after all the events of last night. That could not have been predicted.

Indeed.

We beat Bristol City in the semi final thanks to the genius of Kevin De Bruyne who absolutely ran the show. The Leicester game we scored every penalty. Surely that helped too?

Would the players really be that pissed off if Ederson played? He seems a likeable character to me...As for keepers not wanting to come? I think £100k a week can make any keeper have a rethink!

Reading your post back we have been quite fortunate to get to this final. Only needed to beat West Brom, Wolves, Leicester and Bristol City and didn’t win any of those easily for the simple reason we didn’t play our strongest side. Now we are here and out of the FA cup, it seems a bit strange to me to pass the opportunity of playing the strongest side possible.

Wigan were expecting to get stuffed and look what happened....
Plus last year's semi we were conned....
Plus were City fans with in built tendencies to expect things to go wrong
Plus Bravo may play in goal

Still expect us to win.In style.

If you do win, which is what I expect, I do hope you do it in style

You're the best team in England

On our day yes....but it's a final and many variables come in to play....Arsenal should suit our style and leave gaps as I'm not expecting Wenger to park Jose's bus. Hopefully it will be a good game with Kompany lifting the trophy at the end of the match and Sergio holding on to the match ball lodged on 201 goals for the club.

I fully expect Wenger to park the bus and play on the counter against us.
