Carabao Cup | Quarter-finals | 19/20 Dec '23

Be interesting to see the hammers reaction to this. A genuine and best chance of a trophy with the winners of this tie being the strong favourites to win the whole thing and moyes throws the towel in with their lineup. For what?

They're midtable, no danger of being In a relegation battle and no real hope of European football higher than the conference league so why not throw everything at the carabao cup? If I was a west ham fan, I'd be wanting him out tonight.

Moyes mates in the media will be on first thing tomorrow lubed up ready to defend him.

Why the fuck did he make so many changes.

That's a disgraceful capitulation. Are West Ham as good a side as the cultists? No; of course they're not. But, as has already been pointed out by ninja this was a chance (maybe their best chance) of a trophy this season. And he puts out a weakened side. Why? They're not going to go down, and they're unlikely to make the European places. Give it a go. And if you still lose, so be it. I bet there wouldn't be more than a handful of the 5k that travelled up there tonight that would have complained if they'd got dicked by 3 or 4,having given it a go. We did the same thing in that CL semi final under Pellegrini. To me, it's cowardice.
