We started 6 academy players last season against Bournemouth (and that didn’t include Cole Palmer) so there’s no reason why a few couldn’t start against Wycombe.

Manchester United will host West Ham while holders Manchester City draw League One Wycombe in the third round of the Carabao Cup.

Great draw,get our best EDS alongside our fringe first teamers.This sort of game is exactly the reason we aren't loaning the kids.
 
I'm actually quite happy with that draw. Would have been better as an away game so I could have seen a new ground. But means we should get through and we'll be able to play some fringe players.

I don't think we will play all the kids. We'll play a strong first team with two kids at the most starting. If we're comfortable after an hour then Pep will bring a couple more on.
