Carabao Cup R3 Draw | Wycombe Wanderers (H)

Someone correct my memory if I am wrong....

I remember having the flu in the mid 90s, when the Kippax was being finished after being rebuil.

Even though I was as sick as I can ever recall, I still blagged a ticket and sat in the brand new Kippax with one mate and noone else around.

We beat Wycombe 4-0 at home (possibly a replay or second leg?)

I just see as it not being a big deal and its just another thing for fans to moan at.
So passing a comment is classed as moaning nowadays?
It's just common courtesy to publish the ticket prices at the same time as the away side publish theirs ( to within a couple of hours).
It's not exactly to rocket science is it?

2nd leg after a 0-0 1st leg.
Margetson had to come on as a third sub for an injured player and he was stuck up front for the last 15 mins or so.

Why? Is there a trophy awarded for getting the prices online first?
It makes business sense and just common decency to let home fans

We should be up & running and trying to shift tickets straight away .
It not the most glamarious of fixtures so as soon as we advertise and sell them the more chance we have of getting a decent turnout I would have thought

Wycombe have been given standard PL away allocation of 3000, split over 3 levels of SS. So City may close West and East levels 3 instead,
Tickets for Wycombe fans are £12.50 SS1 & SS3, and £15.00 in SS2, £7.50 & £10.00 for 18-21 and over 65's and £5.00 for kids.
I don't want to come over as some moaning old fart but we all no this fixture won't sell out
Kids tickets are a fiver .If 5 thousand kids went City would make £25.000
But if they gave 15.000 kids a free ticket for every adult ticket they would make so many people so happy & friends for ever
Some buisnes people know the cost of everything but the value of nothing
Back in late 60s early 70s Bury FC used to give vouchers to school kids & got brilliant crowds
Sometimes things are not about how much we can make but how much we can give
& here ends the 3rd sermon lol

City used to do this. Not sure about now but in the 90's i new a teacher in a fairly rough school that would get tickets for midweek games on the day if they were not going to sell out and was told to just give them out. If anything they should be able to do this easier now. My view is they should be giving tickets out for free to families around east manchester - what are they going to lose a handful who might otherwise pay means nothing in the grand scheme of things.
