Carabao Cup Semi Final Games - 24/25/31 Jan / 1 Feb '23

What is the rule now? If the player who scored has handballed it at any point then no goal? Assuming so and not that it needs to have scored using a hand.

Not sure where he’s meant to put his hand, mind.

If it hits the arm and goes directly in or is immediately played into the net after a handball by the same man, it’s handball.

It’s the same as the Llorente goal against City, however the rules at the time were only going directly in so that Llorente goal was right to stand as much as we hated it. The rule didn’t actually change on that until the Summer after.

But he clearly scored off his knee.

The law's anything but clear. The handball didn't directly lead to the goal.
Couldnt be clearer imo - 'a player will still be penalised if he commits an accidental handball immediately before scoring himself.'
