There is a god Barry's gone!!!
Sad to hear that Carl Froch has announced his retirement from boxing. Talk about a fighter who never ducked anyone Froch is the man. He boxed the best fighters out there. The list is as long as your arm. From his fights in the Super 6 to the wars with Mikel Kessler and to a extent the fights with George Groves.

Froch will go down as 1 of the greatest to fight from the UK he is my top 5 fighters from the UK of all time. With Joe Calzaghe , Lennox Lewis , Naz and Ricky Hatton my list always changes by the way. Froch got in with the best that was there and was top class not the greatest technically but a heart of a lion and great determination to win. His only losts have come from Kessler who he got his revenge on and Ward who is a pound for pound great not a bad way to go out too. Beating Groves at Wembley stadium.

Its a shame he never got to fight Calzaghe and to some extent not fighting GGG but if his heart isnt in fighting any more then he is best off calling it a day. I cant wait to see him on sky as a pundit in the coming years he be good.
