Absolutely. No point in tiring 1st team players with it now that we have CL football.

We have much better young players this year so we should do better this time around.

That's the right spirit! City should be aiming for every trophy, this team have to build a winning mentality, it can't be possible with throwing out CC. Community Shield next week is a trophy game, not a friendly.

I think we need to put out a strong team in every competition next season, he have a big enough squad for it and the more honours the better.

Any silverware is good enough for me out of the big 4 competitions. It's about consistency for us. We don't want to show a threat as we did last year by winning the FA Cup then do an Arsenal and not winning anything for 7 years and counting. The PL would be nice but for me it's about consistency. Another top four finish and a trophy so we can continue to compete with the big boys of Europe is good enough for me.

The point i was making is he didn't really use the "squad". The majority of the players used at West Brom weren't in our 25 man PL squad, they were EDS players. I for one hope he does the same again and gives the EDS lads some good first team experience

Arsenal have used this cup to blood some very good future first team players over the years and I think it will be good for our youngsters but I would mix the likes of Barry, Swp and others just out of the first team selection plans and go with a 5 youths and 6 older players so they can gain experience and still give us a decent chance to beat most teams.

Of course now Arsenal fans would no doubt love to have a shiny CC trophy in the cabinet.
