If you want to carry on calling them that, its your prerogative, but that is a crap argument to defend your actions.

I'm sure there were people using racially derogative terms who said 'I've always called them N*****s/P***s, and I'm not going to change' - all that says about those people is that they were small minded knuckle draggers who were unable to actually think about what they were doing in any way and who refused to allow themselves (and society) to evolve in even the smallest way - simply for the reason that that was the way they had always behaved. What's wrong with growing up a bit and changing the way you behave? Its nothing to be feared.

This is a pointless argument though, as nothing either side say will change the way the others think - I just think 'I've always done it so don't see why I should change' is a particularly weak argument. It would be better and braver to say 'I enjoy reminding the fans about Munich because I know it hurts and offends them, and I like that' - at least its honest and implies you've considered it and made a decision, rather than just 'I've always done it, etc'.

listen as much as i agree with you NF, It is his opinion, its a forum with opinions. Now i am not, and dont think others, should slate him for it because at the end of the day ALOT of city fans think like this. Take the derby...When Tevez layed that ball to Barry to make it 1-1, all you hear was that song...."Carlos Tevez is a blue..." now thats 3000 fans and alot of them, Not all, were joining in. Its a way of City life. again its not condeming it, Just being realsitic

i know all about frank swift, which is why i stayed silent at the swamp on the anniversary, but i'm sorry this happened 30 years before i was born so it really has no meaning to me whatsoever. it was obviously a terrible time when it happened but bad things happen to innocent people every day so to me it's a dig at utd and they hate it.
anyway if u were at the swamp last week u will know your fighting a losing battle, if the 2500 most loyal fans sing munich u need to get over it.
