Carlos Tevez - The complete footballer

Carlos is quite simply the best that the premier League has to offer. He is complete. Awesome player. There was a point in today's game were Kompany cleared his lines in defence with a long ball. Carlos was fighting for a high ball with 2 centre backs, out-muscled the first, took the ball down beautifully, skinned the other centre back and then spread the play out wide. In the end, the attack came to absolutely nothing, but i was just completely in awe of him. Even Drogba would have struggled to do what he did. He's unreal. I just can't believe we have this guy at City after all the shit we've had to watch over the years.

Crackin' player, he's like a cross between Captain Caveman and the Duracell bunny but, as much as I love watching him, the complete footballer he ain't. Great touch the vast majority of the time, great drive and a wonderful dribbler, his off the ball movement often infuriates me though and he could have better peripheral vision when he's on the ball.

Think he's pretty single minded on the ball, but that's why he scores so many goals!

The off the ball movement has puzzled me this season - seems to go very wide a lot of the time. I think that's probably instructions more than his natural game.

He's certainly single minded and I've no problem with that in a striker but you'll often see him fail to see a better option and I don't think it's always down to 'selfishness', I think a lot of it is because he has to focus 100% on the ball to do what he does therefore simply doesn't see other options.

The going wide I agree is probably down to tactical instruction and interchanging with teammates, the thing I'm talking about is his positioning in relation to opposition players rather than ours. I just don't think he perceives angles as well as some and often makes it more difficult than it could be for our man on the ball to find him.

As I say, I love the guy and don't want to sound like I'm slating him, he offers a hell of a lot of attributes you won't see combined in any other player.
