And the PL actually supported us in that case, which was about whether the original judge was right to publish her reasoning about the PL's arbitration process. The PL agreed that they wanted it kept secret, which the appeal judges severely criticised them for. But none of the hacks mention that.

One article references an over inflated sponsorship deal with Ethihad in 2011. We were fined after the first reporting period of FFP, which was reduced after we were compliant. EPL FFP didn’t exist during this period, so we cannot have broken their rules.

The fact the Mail are mentioning the criminal extortionist Pinto as a potential ‘witness’ at all is proof that there is absolutely nothing new whatsoever. No new evidence at all, no smoking gun. It is just a rehash of the same old Football Leaks/Der Spiegel bullshit which has already been discredited and laughed out of an actual court of law. Written and published in bad faith and malice by a deranged individual with an axe to grind

One of the funniest parts of the Mail’s coverage is the article about how the court “DISMANTLED our defence” by allowing the judgment to be published.

What Rob Harris is missing is that this was a procedural application which would happen 9 times out of 10 in a private dispute involving sensitive information. You don’t hear about the ones that win. If I’m being honest, and I do hate the negative media attention we get, I honestly doubt City would have cared that much about publication here. There was probably a tactical element, and it’s something you’d “try” anyway (but they were probably alive to the fact it would be published anyway, especially Pannick). What he’s missing more is the fact that the PREMIER LEAGUE also consented to the application, and also didn’t want it to be published.

A blatant misreading of what’s happened, which makes you question any of the other four articles they’ve published tonight. If they really had a “smoking gun”, why dedicate one article to a load of red tinted bollocks, and another saying that Rui Tinto will be spared jail for cooperation under a witness protection programme which INCLUDES helping the premier league in a non criminal private litigation...! Because that’s how our justice system works, we let criminals off if they cooperate to help one company sue another...
