What PSG (and maybe Monaco) are doing is not sporting. They're essentially taking advantage of everyone else's willingness to play along with the rules.

Do you seriously believe what you've just written? If we sign Jovetic and/ or Negredo (which is looking almost certain) we'll have spent more on players than PSG this summer.

PSG are the new MCFC. What they are doing now, that we are mocking, is close to what we did a couple of seasons ago. The difference of course is that most clubs are now reining in their spending to ensure FFP compliance while Monaco and PSG are not.

PSG, Monaco, Chelsea and us have all had to pay over inflated transfer fees and salaries just to try and compete at the top table of European football. It will be interesting to monitor Uefa's treatment of PSG now; they will surely have to show a huge income growth to justify the increases in their spending and they may well prove a useful test case for us and other nouveau riche clubs. As one of the European capitals though I would guess that they will be in a better position to justify inflated sponsorship deals.

We are certainly not in a position to mock and question though given our recent history. Platini's complete lack of attention towards PSG is a complete contradiction though to the attention that he has given us in recent times and bodes well for us and badly for the traditional club superpowers. I suspect, as do many others, that FFP will be such a legal minefield that it will be entirely unenforceable. The danger then though is that the clubs that are attempting compliance allow clubs like PSG to steal a march. Interesting times indeed.

Well one things for sure if city spent the 64mill on one player like psg did, platini would be crying foul-play strange he's went quiet over this transfer i wonder why...

Hmm.

Haven't city spent WAY more than 64m this transfer window after negredo and jovetic are sealed?

Doesnt matter if it's on one player or 5, what you spend is what you spend. and 64m is a fraction of what youll have spent

And I dont see anyone coming after you
Im talking about that amount on one player,we will have spent more than that this season on players but have recouped about half of that by selling players tevez/mario etc, also didn't platini come out waffling about our deal with etihad and how uefa would look into it,psg then sign a mega fcuking deal making our's look like loose change and platini says nothing double standards, but fair play to psg as if fcuk all is done then others can follow their lead....

You have got to be taking the piss. Why play along with rules that would stop you from ever reaching where you wanted to go.

It's like cheating at a shit card game.

Financial "Fair" play is the only cheating going on here.

We've sold players so can afford it, not aware of any big sells from PSG.

Psg were the only idiots willing to pay his stupid value.

If they arent banned soon from Europe along with Monaco they have made a complete mockery of FFP.
With Platini as top dog in UEFA? More chance of me shagging Holly Willoughby.

We couldn't afford it until we spent big and broke into the champs league..every business has to speculate to accumulate. I really do despair sometimes.

to date youve sold Mario for 22m and Tevez for 9m. decent amount of change.

Youll have spent about what? Going off the numbers nearly 100m or so.

PSG are going to sell. Verratti, Sakho and pastore all look likely to leave - Ibra too.

They're not a holding company, they'll make moves

you'll both have spent an assload, and neither of you will have ffp problems
