Paris Saint-Germain have agreed a deal to sign Napoli forward Edinson Cavani, according to French website RMC Sport.

The report claims that Leonardo, the PSG sporting director, has met several times with the Uruguayan's agent and has agreed a four-year deal worth £7.2m a season.

The news will come as a huge blow to Manchester City and Chelsea, who have both courted the 26-year-old for the past two seasons.

Cavani, who has scored 32 times in all competitions this season, has been deadly in front of goal since switching from Palermo in 2009.

His transfer to PSG has yet to be made official but it is believed he has been persuaded to sign for the Ligue 1 side by his former Napoli team-mate Ezequiel Lavezzi, who made the same move last summer.

With Cavani seemingly unavailable, both Chelsea and City are expected to ramp up their efforts to sign Atletico Madrid hitman Radamel Falcao

This is a huge blow if true,he genuinely is one of the very few world class,clinical,strikers who was 'available' and would have undobtedlty improved us.

Other than Falcao,who else fits the bill?
