Dzeko is not much less clinical than Cavani but isn't as talented overall. Both have among the best shots-to-goal ratios in top European leagues along with Mario Gomez and Balotelli (who I think may have the best in top leagues, problem is how many games he misses!). Cavani has less of a tendency to send the ball into row Z and a lot of his misses are by inches.
I'm not sure it'd be worth all the headache of transfers and squad shuffling but if Mancini was tempted to replace Dzeko with Cavani you could understand it as he is so good and looks like he could suit our highly technical system more.
I think Cavani is amazing but we can't just chop and change all the time for like a 10% improvement (guessing). In the end it's up to Mancini though, let's see if he follows up his interest.
I'd look more to Lavezzi is we want something we currently lack. Signing both would be a nightmare with De Laurentiis, good god it'd be some transfer saga that would put the Sanchez one to shame.
