Celtic game - strict security measures announced (page 34)

So after the Gladbach game, we went to Schalke on Thursday. Bought a ticket on the door in cash, no details taken. So UEFA clearly don't call the shots.

Not saying the additional security is a bad thing, as long as it's done professionally and quickly, but as we all know with City, it won't be, probably due to staffing ennui, and fans deciding to rock up at the very last minute to squeeze an extra beer in somewhere, giving the staff abuse, and thus perpetuating the slowness.

I'm a City season card holder with a Jock accent......

I've been practising saying "Haciendaaa" and "Manchestur" as well as "Sorted" "R kid" and others...

Just hope they dont ask "is it a barm or a roll" or I'll be fudged!

Watch this a couple of times practising the accent all the while and you will be fine. What?

I wonder what has triggered this off? they wouldnt do it just for the sake of it so I wonder if they have been made aware of something untowards. I am as almost everyone is that there are going to be shit loads of celtic fans in our end, could this have triggered it? Last time celtic rocked up some of their fans were absolute cockends , has this triggered it? this extra ring of security will no doubt cause problems somewhere along the way, i dont have a problem with it, mainly because i will be there early enough, but no doubt it will cause issues.
I think they're expecting a lot of Celtic fans to come down like Gladbach did last season. There were Gladbach fans at G and K turnstiles (both home turnstiles) i walked past that night trying to gain access without tickets and loads of them dotted about asking for tickets. They had a chunk of fans in the bottom of the Singing Section and fans all over the ground. I wouldn't be surprised if they had as many fans as Everton did for the League Cup semi in the ground that night. Their club came out and said they asked City for 15000 tickets and could have sold more than that.

The thing is, it was kicking off and people were being kicked out all game that night.

I reckon City might be expecting the same thing to happen again as Celtic is a derby and they are well supported n'all.

Large security operation yet City are letting kids tickets be used by adults for free. So in other words, the ticket won't be registered to the person who is using it. They really are stupid

This is going to turn into a thread like the Everton semi final where they were going to invade our stadium and kick off all over the show.

There will be a handful of them in the home end. Any that act like dicks will be given a slap or kicked out. That's that.

The club are dicks, they should have given them a bigger allocation knowing we weren't going to sell out.

A dead rubber of a game, transport shit at night and extra security which you just know with the knobheads they employ doing it is going to be a complete and utter shambles. Add on a 4.30 am start for me in the morning and I will give this a swerve, in spite of having paid for a ticket.
