Celtic game - strict security measures announced (page 34)

Yeah, I don't really get the outrage either. It's not like Celtic fans getting tickets prevented City fans from attending. I enjoyed last night - it was a good atmosphere and didn't see any real trouble. But for the Celtic fans the ground would've been half empty and people would be complaining about the attendance instead this morning. They were generally alright, so live and let live I say. It's no different to what we did in the late 90s at some lower league grounds.

Some on here won't remember that.

Mock outrage. Its the way of the world now.

Nothing really serious last night. A few incidents that were stopped as quick as they started. Stewards not the best but most are young kids or older blokes. One scared to get involved, one thinks it not worth a punch. They need better training.

City have an obvious problem selling tickets for these games plus controlling actual sales.

My view is the club is not arsed who is in the ground. Similar to Spain so maybe it stems from there and who is in charge. Or maybe it just money talks.

Don't really see the issue. Saw some real idiots on both sides last night. Grown men shouting scottish scum at Celtic fans at one point in the main stand. They literally had cone nothing wrong. Sure Celtic would have had a number of idiots too but don't think it was too bad.

In 109 soon after kick off there was some trouble down at the front. I'm near the back so couldn't see what was happening but soon after a steward walked past escorting a Celtic fan. Then to our amazement about 25 more were led out who all must have been in a group. They were taken into the away fans area from what we could see. Then when they lit their phones, I couldn't believe how many there were. You expect a few but there were Celtic fans in just about every part of the ground.

Ferran Soriano & Danny Wilson should be sacked for what happened last night. It was utterly inept but, more importantly, potentially put our fans in danger. For once, I'm completely on UEFA's side on this.

I plutonically love you, PB. All this "it helped add to the atmosphere" stuff. It ruined it for me. I was on edge throughout and watching my back.

Blackburn away promotion game , thousands of City in every stand.

Becoming a bit precious these days isn't it.

Fucking joke.

When the lights on their phones were lit up nearly 50% of the ground were doing it. That's Celtic fans plus probably some who didn't do it and managed to restrain themselves!

Absolute joke that that many managed to get into the ground. The 'strict' security measures were a joke and all.

50%!! not a chance - 10% max.

A few Celtic fans in front of me last night. Seemed decent - they supported their team - nothing OTT - think one or two city fans over reacted - it was a dead rubber so almost like a pre season game.

Plus there were City fans all over the Nou Camp for the first CL game against Barcelona. We don't seem to have such an issue with it when we're the ones doing it.
