Celtic game - strict security measures announced (page 34)

This is going to turn into a thread like the Everton semi final where they were going to invade our stadium and kick off all over the show.

There will be a handful of them in the home end. Any that act like dicks will be given a slap or kicked out. That's that.

The club are dicks, they should have given them a bigger allocation knowing we weren't going to sell out.
No one knew it was going to be a dead rubber back then. It would easily have sold out had it been important

Me too. My brother and a friend of ours can't go, so I'm taking their Cityzens cards with a mate. Anyone ever been asked for ID with a Cityzen card?

No mention of id needed on my email, just checking tickets when entering the campus. Id is required if collecting tickets from ticket office though.

Large security operation yet City are letting kids tickets be used by adults for free. So in other words, the ticket won't be registered to the person who is using it. They really are stupid

not seen that one anywhere

Not saying the additional security is a bad thing, as long as it's done professionally and quickly, but as we all know with City, it won't be, probably due to staffing ennui, and fans deciding to rock up at the very last minute to squeeze an extra beer in somewhere, giving the staff abuse, and thus perpetuating the slowness.

Or it could be that fans coming at the last minute might be due to traffic problems? Remember it is 3 weeks before Christmas, Manchester has the Christmas markets, late night shopping and people trying to get home from work. Just trying to put some perspective in there.

Anyone been collecting their ticket yet? What are the queues like? I'll try to collect my ticket at lunch time and hope I can squeeze it into my lunch break.

Just been offered chance (email from City) to relocate back to my own seats in Block 315, which has just been "released due to high demand". Bit late to start messing about now and I thought no tickets were on sale now. Strange!!

I had the same. Where has the "high demand" come from if tickets can't be purchased now? And can I be arsed moving back to 315 now? City's ticket office never ceases to amaze me.

I thought that the third tier of the SS was reserved as a sort of overflow area for Celtic fans!?
And yes, bit late now.

This is the email, seems very odd that all of a sudden there is high demand when they have been off sale since Sunday!!

As a member of the 2016/17 UEFA Competitions Cup Scheme, the Club had previously contacted yourself to advise that the third tier of the South Stand would be closed for both the Borussia Monchengladbach and Celtic fixtures and that subsequently, you would be allocated an alternative seat.

Due to high demand for the Celtic match however, the Club have been able to release additional seating within block 315.

Althoughwe cannot guarantee that your own seat will be available, we would like to offer supporters the opportunity to relocate back to the South Stand third tier for the Celtic match due to be played this evening, kick off 7.45pm.

PLEASE NOTE: As of midnight Sunday 4th December, the Celtic match was removed from sale and as such no additional purchases can be processed.

If you would like to relocate your seats for the Celtic match, or discuss alternative options with a member of Supporter Services, please contact the Club on0161 444 1894(option 1, option 3).

Did anyone hear the Celtic Fan on Jim Wyatt's TS Show this morning claiming that he had about 10 Tickets in the City End thanks to his friends in Northwich?

If I hadn't promised my grand daughter I wouldn't bother tonight

I got this e-mail as well at 11:30 this morning, so rang the ticket office 30 mins later to change back to my season ticket seat in 315, which is on the front row.

When I rang, I was told all of rows A-L were sold out & I could only move to anything behind that.

So, Tickets stopped selling on Sunday at Midnight, which means these tickets must have been on sale prior to that, but no communication to tell us this (Despite being told on twitter by City when I asked them when they opened 317 & 318 that when 315 came available we would be informed) until 8 hours before kick off.

They never help themselves do they....

I'm in 318 on the champs league scheme, I was initially relocated from there to block 322 in colin bell

I received an email the same as this but at least 1 week ago saying I could move back to my original seat if I wanted to.I havn't bothered

I booked a holiday for today so I can have a drink instead of rushing from work and Im not even bothering going as it stands at the moment

Seems totally bizarre to offer this at 1130 this morning when as City said they were stopping selling tickets on Sunday night. Therefore they must have known then that 315 was available.
On a side note I think we should have given Celtic the whole of SS3 would have made for a great atmosphere. Think they will now be all over the ground.

I agree about giving them the whole of ss , I presumed they would from the start, and I think they will be scattered all over the place .
