This a topic we have really talked about and moved on from other than in small groups of fans who sing them on their own coaches and pubs. Munich songs are, quite rightly, not sang at matches anymore.

It was a few years ago I saw it at games. Have heard it in pubs much more recently though

Dunno what a rag is but I did say in my first post that I'm Irish. I'm a Celtic fan. I've lived in Manchester for near 12 years. I live the place. I've enjoyed matches at both OT and the etihad. Including last night. Which is what I originally came here to discuss. I'm not the one throwing insults around. I enjoy reasoned debate/discussion and am happy to have it. I know what many people think of us, I'm not daft. But I think this is for the most part been good and I've enjoyed 'chatting' with you guys

I don't care whether Celtic fans regard themselves as Scottish, Irish or Palestinian. What I do care about though is the mass glorification of Irish Republican terrorists and murderers. None of them are ashamed of it and will make excuses for it or change the subject to an unrelated topic.
They were the same at the friendly a few years ago where they also ripped up our seats. These people are the dregs of humanity and if they're getting away with this type of behaviour in Scotland every week, then that country has serious issues.

They are not just songs though are they? Anymore than the swastika is just a flag. Celtic fans are in total denial. The Fields of Athenry is fine but songs about Bobby Sands and killing British soldiers are not just words are they? You know that they mean to some people. They are designed to create more hate. As has been said, despite your protests, you are just as bad as the Rangers bigots. For God's sake it's 2016 not 1916 and most Irish people (including most of my family) have moved on.
