Celtic thread 2020/21

Well, it's AC Milan tonight and I have excavated a deep fox hole behind my couch. It is well stocked with valium, drink, a comforting teddy, and most importantly, the remote to change channels if it gets all too much.

No doubt if the inevitable handing of the arse occurs, I will be seeing your words of comfort tonight and tomorrow. It's means so much to me. I'm filling up here.

If I was a Celtic fan I would be asking where's the ducking money gone?

It seems they can't afford to sack Lennon and O'Neil would rather stay a hero than come back to the directorial farce at your club.

3. Not sure about your Murray comment? Are you implying something about the EBT's? Because 9 in a row was achieved in '97, & i'm sure the EBT's didnt start until after that. Whatever. Anyway, like i said, we were always going to improve from our low standing, we were always going to frontload investment until we were competitive, & that's exactly what's happened. If it was a real concern, we could have sold Morelos which would just about have balanced the books. But we held out for our valuation which never came.

I agree to an extent that the next few days might define things for years, & brings me round to my next point i was wanting to ask you.

You are right not to concede the league, feckin right you's shoudn't, only a madman would when the gap can be cut to 5 points, & likewise, i certainly aint going to say it's won from our perspective until it's mathematically over, so don't worry about that.

However, if things don't go your way, are you worried about the scales tipping slightly in the other direction? From what i can see,

Edouard, Ntcham, Ajer & Christie's contracts all end in 2022, & are any likely to extend? Would it be fair to say that's your best defender, midfielder & striker?
Are you going to get what you would expect to get in fees after a Covid hit year in the financials & 1 year left on their contracts?

Brown & Griffiths are up at the end of this season & both look close to done.

Elyounoussi, Laxalt & Duffy are all just on loan.

That's a lot of upheavel for 1 window. Wouldn't be so daunting if the recruitment was good, but it's been far from that the last few years.

Big Shane couldn't hit a donkey on the arse with a banjo at two feet away. If that useless **** starts I might have to dig a tunnel out of the house and walk the earth.

Our wage bill requires CL money. The board failed to invest and relied on selling our best players. I have been beating that drum for years. I am not surprised where we are. It was inevitable with that shower of shitebags at the helm.
