Celtic thread 2020/21

Another bad result for the swamp dwellers tonight. Lovely surprise to wake up to. To be fair they have a lot of players out for obvious reasons, but that is their own fault. At this stage it honestly feels like a concerted effort to get the season scrapped as they're being destroyed on the pitch.

It's definitely 8. they were awarded the 9th through zoom, yeah they'd probably have won it anyway but still. And let's not forget that they had to decimate their only competition and it was essentially a one team league for years. If they had any shame they would recognise this and put their trophies in perspective, but instead in their usual fashion they still talk about their 'outstanding achievement' of winning a league and trebles where they were absolutely miles ahead of the other teams in terms of finances and player quality. Would they have done '9 in a row' if we were in the league and hadn't been destroyed, and retained our best players? of course not. It would be good to see other clubs get their chance to shine, but unfortunately the only teams who can win the title are Celtic and Rangers and they absolutely decimated their only competition.

Does it ever enter their tiny minds that the only reason they've won so many trophies is because their only competition had to start in the bottom tier? Doubtful.

Still funny though that all it took was one or two games of good results and okay performances last month and Magicpole was declaring them 'back'. And Turnbull and Soro were suddenly the new Xavi and Iniesta after one good game. Lol modern football fans are so knee-jerk.

Rangers’ problems were their own fault and theirs alone
 
We are now beyond the point Celtic were ahead of Rangers last season when the league was stopped.
Celtic were 13 points clear & Rangers had a game in hand which could knock that to 10.
Now Rangers are 21 points clear & Celtic have 3 games in hand so can knock that to 12. Plus Rangers have a better goal difference of +23 than Celtic.

If they called it, I would have no complaints, in fact it might be a release of the pain. I still think you will drop points, but we have two games with reserve players and that absolutely could mean more points dropped.

It's times like these that I am glad I don't really bother about football. :)
 
I wanna win the title the right way, not via Zoom like they did. They'll drop more points even with their full squad available anyway, their players are absolutely overrated :)
