To be fair our Academy isn't worth a fuck. We have produced about 6 really good players in 40 years. The point about blowing money on that fiasco then doing this, is exactly why we need massive change in key positions. But, I would close the Academy all together as it produces fuck all
You seem to he investing in it, but not giving it a chance. We all have youth academies, we are probably the best of a bad lot. The raw materials just aren't there.I'm not clued up on Scottish youth football, who has the best set up for discovering and developing young talent, and has your current leadership not invested in this area, most English clubs seem to be really investing in the youth.

If you were looking to for info about when Rangers turned out a top class player you woukd need to have a word with Gunnerger's Granda.
That's exactly the problem, the 3 of them were in your academy 20 years ago. We've had Tierney, then not as good, Forrest and McGreggor. That's it in the last 12 years. Fucking pitiful. The problem being as well is that as soon as you get a shining light, bigger clubs in England & abroad can come in & turn their heads ie Billy Gilmour & what looks like might happen with Dembele.
The years after 2012 our youth setup was totally neglected like many other things at the club, & it's only in the past few years that some work has been done on that side.
Before 2012 your talking about the likes of John Fleck, Alan Hutton & Barry Ferguson that went on to have good careers. Too few & far between.
Finished 0-0.Celtic 0 Livingston 0 HT
Absolutely wonderful stuff ha!Finished 0-0.
Course he is. It’s been a great day for Celtic. Rangers have been put in their place again.Still hanging in there @Magicpole, still think there's a chance?

Well last season they were awarded the league and won last season’s league cup this season. It’s wasn’t exactly a conventional treble.Trebles every year had to come to an end some time i suppose.....
Ross Desmond is appointed to the board of directors with immediate effect. Peter Lawwell will step down from his position at the end of the season. Neil Lennon will take charge of his final game on Wednesday night, with his resignation tendered post match. John Kennedy will be moving to a Football Operations role and Gavin Strachan to a role within the U23 set up to the end of the season. Eddie Howe will be announced first thing on Thursday morning along with his own back room team giving him the best part week to access the squad prior to the next league game against Hamilton at home on Wednesday night.
Had the above sent to me from a relative up north no idea how true or not it is.
