on google it says 2nd jan is a bank hol in scotland, they are doing you, demand double pay
Obviously not working hard enough if you’ve time to google bank holidays. No wonder the country is going to the dogs

Question for MP and any other Celtic supporter.

Is Rodgers getting an easy ride on last summers big signings. Twice Celtic broke their transfer fee record with Idah and Engels but neither can hold down a starting place. They’ve another ‘big’ signing in Trustey but Scales is often preferred to him. That’s £30ish million on three major signings but all three are average (I’m being generous)

I just read you are as close to Dundee in 8th as you are to us in points.
Tbf Celtic should have put a much better glove on them then...got bossed all over the park..seemed complacent to me. But Rangers did play well, I can't knock them for that..let's hope they end up 8th though!!!

Over confidence, then absolutely shat it. Worst performance at Ibrox since the 90’s. Getting beat is one thing, bottling it? Go fuck yourself Celtic players. Unacceptable.

I think Engels will come good eventually.

Was amazed at the Idah fee. For a record transfer you want a Hartson or Dembele type signing, someone who will score against any team and make a difference in Europe.

Idah was a Norwich sub and has never shown like he’s up to much in an Irish jersey either.

Engels is a player and will be fine, he has had an indifferent or even poor last few games, was excellent yesterday. The thing is we have been off it as a team. I’m giving him time, just like I did Khun. It’s about confidence. Idah, I too thought we paid about £3m more than we should. £6m to me was the top end of his value. He too will improve and is doing ok. Is ok ok for £9m, no it isn’t. I personally think for that money we could have got better. But, that’s the way it goes sometimes.

On the flip side, we got McCowan for £1m, Bernardo for £3.5m and Khun for £3.5m. We look like we are getting KT back for about £7m.

I don’t even know who we are looking at this window. No real definite leads. We need another winger and a striker and a LB.

And if we look at all the signings, we still haven’t spent any money from the pot. It’s less than we brought in.

Bernabie has brought in €5.5m. If Frimpong is sold, another £7m or more depending on the price. Palma should bring in about £3m. Taylor maybe £5m. Remember, we got £3m for Mickey Johnstone. The Polish CB shouid bring in another £3.5m. We could bring in about £24m and even if we spend it all, we still haven’t touched the stash. The model is working for us.

Engels will be a top player for us, Idah will be good but never our main striker.

The players you mention such as Kuhn fit Celtics previous signing policy. Buy in relatively cheaply play a few years sell on at a profit.

The three I mentioned break with that mould and haven’t exactly worked out …. Yet. Just an observation really and not a criticism
