I'd guess that the overwhelming majority of Celtic fans will be similarly minded. Who's going to do the calling out? The (guessing here) 5-10% who don't agree with them? Not unless they've got a death wish.

Ok just stick to my first question of what sort of idiot does it on the first place

The two world wars saw unfathomable losses of lives from virtually every nation on this planet.

If you cannot spend a minute in quiet reflection on what that meant for humanity- it says everything about who / what you are.

I’ve never we met a match going celtic fan who disagrees with those that disrupted the minutes silence.

You are talking about a support who regularly sing a song celebrating the death of Lee Rigby

Tbh I have no idea why they even attempted this as it was only going to go one way and yet again they have shamed our country

Ffs. I've never heard that song sung a single time. You latch onto a thing and include everyone into it. Do you actually think that's an intelligent thing to do? Because I think intelligent people wouldn't.

Well if you actually went to matches you would certainly hear and the other songs celebrating those who killed British Soldiers.

You must have missed the recent touching tribute to Brendan McFarlane? I could go on and on with examples but it’s noted that once again you fail to condemn those responsible and try defection. Rather sad but predictable.

Around 27,000 Irish nationals who enlisted to fight for the British Army died fighting in WW1, that number goes up to around 49,000 with those who were Irish born or of Irish parents but lived in Britain. Over 1,000 further Irish born men died fighting for the US Army, just under 1,000 further Irish born men died fighting for the Australian Army.

To be fair I heard Celtic fans, not a small bunch either, singing the Lee Rigby song on Alan Turing way before the CL match. In case you don’t know he came from a City-supporting family in Middleton. I didn’t appreciate the songs about the Manchester IRA bomb either which is why, along with thousands of City fans, I left that match at half time. By the way I come from a very large Mancunian/Irish family like so many City fans from South Manchester.

Could have the figure wrong but I’m sure it was mentioned that Irishmen won 180 Victoria Crosses during WW1. This was mentioned as an Irish government official (didn’t catch who) laid a wreath at the Cenotaph.

We have millions of fans. I hate those types who sang that about that lad. But, i will fucking never be tarred with their brush.

I know plenty of decent Celtic fans, some of whom have stopped because of the so-called Green Brigade. The club needs to get a grip. A lot of progress has been made at both Old Firm clubs since I lived in West Lothian 30 years ago. But neither club can afford to go backwards. It is ridiculous that so few people even go to church in Scotland these days but the sectarianism lives on. Now some of them have adopted the Middle East conflict instead.

There is nowhere near the same levels of religious bigotry in Scotland as we had say 25 years ago.

The Celtic support have become over political and jump on any cause / band wagon around the World and of course the wee Fannie’s that are the Union Bears automatically jump on the opposing view regardless of the rights and wrongs it’s all a wee bit sad on both sides

I’m not going to get into an argument over Middle Eastern politics as I have little to no interest but so called Roman Catholics / Protestants in Scotland arguing over Islamic / Jewish political division in Isreal is just ludicrous

My tuppence worth…..

You will be tarred with their brush because as far as I can remember you never condemn their actions. Condemning after being prompted is not the same as coming out and owning it.

Now I actually believe you’re ok for one of your lot (sometimes) and I know you’re not some daft wee boy which makes it more baffling why you don’t just call out the scumbags that follow Celtic. I don’t understand why , at times , you seem to defend the indefensible.

It is also absolutely OK if you do support the more traditionalists in your support as you’re perfectly entitled to hold those opinions. Perfectly free to defend their political views no matter how much many may find them abhorrent.

Anyway that’s my tuppence worth. Enjoy your Saturday night…

The punsters are already at it with potentially the next Celtic manager as Brother Wilfried Nancy. Seems a high risk appointment if it's true.

Your tuppence worth you can keep. Before you came on here I explained my position. A couple of times.

And I won't condem them for being political. I do for how they choose to do it.

Your problem is your view of freedom is onkybif it suits how you see the works. That's not freedom that fascism.

Ahhh the old ‘yer a Facist’ just the new ‘Yer a Racist’. Utterly nothing to back up your claim

Anyway as I said to a poster the other day. Wasting your time arguing with someone who will stoop to any depths to defend the indefensible
