Here’s my theory…..
Maloney was always going to be in caretaker charge but with relations between the board and support they knew that wouldn’t be acceptable so they brought in the Sainted Martin ( I’m in a good mood) to appease the more ‘traditional’ among the Celtic support.
Anyway Nancy could do a lot worse than keep Maloney as he knows the players, club and the Scottish game

I hope in the spirit of understanding you’ll agree that the shocking challenge by Donovan was as clear a Red card as you’ll see but (un)surprisingly the SMSM completely over looked it. No poll on the BBC on this most obvious of Red cards

Well he is finally here. I have a good vibe about him. Keeping us top of the heap here in SPFL Land, is only half of the expectation. He needs to make us stronger in Europe. We achieve that, domestically will be easier.
I will probably regret saying this, but I think our world class board, their term not mine, will back him. That's only half the issue, our last three windows have been poor. Last weeks win in Holland didn't have a single new player starting, which shows how awful our recruitment was.
Maeda will be off, possibly Hatate too, but I think he might stay until summer. We need a right winger, a striker, a right back and if Nancy wants to introduce his system, a midfielder and of course a CB.
Excitement tinged with a bit of nerves. The nerves were eased when I listened to his interview and he said, it will be a gradual thing. No point in putting a system like his in place without a stronger squad.
I think this could be a continuation of our dominance at home. Bring it on.

3 sitters missed never ends well. I dont blame Nancy for this, not one of our players turned up to a level we needed. Controlled large parts of the game but our final 3rd is piss poor. On tp Thursday and an expecred defeat, just hoping we can take St Mirren on sunday and if that isnt an indication of where our recruitment has left us, fuck knows what is.

As someone who only pays a passing interest in Scottish football what the fuck were Celtic doing turfing Martin for this game?
By all means bring in the new guy but, after Martin's very impressive record turning them round & closing the gap to bin him before not after this game was proper cups for cock ups stuff.

The performances weren’t great and were very fortunate in one or two games. I don’t think this has anything to do with changing managers and from the little I saw Celtic played ok without being brilliant.
This is a strange season in the Scottish top flight where literally any team is capable of taking points from the ‘Big 2 (3)’

Because we are piss poor. We have spent £10m on two wingers, who arent worth a fuck. We didnt buy a striker, so our goals tally is on a par with teams who havent a pot to piss in. People forget. I dont, that two of the worst petformances ive seen in years, Midgies and St Mirren came witj Martin at the helm. Yesterday was down to our players, missing 3 sitters, forgetting how to pass a ball 15 yards forward and bottling taking a chance. We had some lively passages of play, but too infrequent and the final ball was over or underhit. We need reinforcements in January, but i have abkut as much belief in the invisible man in the sky, as I do we have anybody who can see a player, let alone sign the ****.
Does make the season more interesting, but I havent enough valium to last.
