Scored an OG, missed a penalty and three sitters. Surprisingly didnt win. Who knew? Some really good play but once again our lack of recruitment and what we did buy being nowhere near it. This was a game from the draw I wrote off as soon as it appeared. Missing a penalty, Hatate sitter, Ianacho sitter and a belter of an OG done us.

Our window in January is massive. We will spend, but thats only half the battle, who we buy gives me the fear. Not one player from the last two windows worth a fuck. Still back8bg Nancy, he needs players who can play his system, which i like. Will we get them? Thats the issue. I have no fear for Sunday though. Saw enough to know we can beat them convincingly. Just need to keep our heads and ignore the panic merchants and thise trting to pike pressyre on him from those who are dying for him to fail. Its Ange 2 from our msn.

Just seen your tie against Talbot has been moved to Rugby Park. Would have been a great atmosphere at Auchinleck and interesting old fashioned cup tie. Mixed feelings towards this as it could get very embarrassing for the WOSL team but on the other hand the increase in revenue for them could be massive with the league reconstruction taking place next season. Will set them up nicely for moving up the pyramid.

Wee side note to this game. Who do the Cumnock supporters want to win? Not many of your mob in that part of Ayrshire but they have a huge rivalry with each other

I watched all this game. Roma took their foot off the gas second half 3-0 up. Result was never in doubt after the first goal. Celtic were lucky that Romas 4th was chalked off for a dubious offside. Ferguson was spot on with his post match comment that the Celtic players had no idea of what they were doing.

There will always be the odd exceptions but clubs outwith the Top 5 leagues are falling further and further behind and it’s not changing anytime soon.

Celtic have enjoyed great success domestically due to their financial advantages but when playing in Europe they are playing clubs who financially dwarf them.

Dont agree. They didnt know how to pass. How to go forward. I lnow players are mostly thick cunts. But a 4 3 3 isnt quantum physics. None of pur teams over the last five years, could have beaten Roma. We wre simply not good enough and that has fuck all to do with formations. Our players are second rate in Europe. Especially this season, after losing so many bettrr players and recruiting pricks. Thats the issue. Utter bollocks to claim its the system. Ferguson must be thick too if he thinks that.

100%. I got the feeling that Roma never got out of 3rd gear; they didn't have to, did they? Even if you'd scored the penalty, you'd imagine that Roma could have scored another one if they felt they needed it. As for the "second rate in Europe" comment; hard to argue against it, really. Both you and Rangers. I'm guessing that the coefficient for the Scottish league will take a battering this season. No disrespect to Aberdeen, but it's the old firm that need to perform well in Europe to keep said coefficient healthy.

Celtic have been poor bar last season and Rangers been good until this season in the non Champions league games.

I might be wrong but I think next seasons rankings see Rangers ‘Seville’ season removed which will automatically move us down.

That table is depressing as we were only recently taken over by the Czech league!!

I’m thinking it’s 5 so we are losing the seasons where Rangers were reaching quarter finals and final.

People don’t like to hear it but the continued failure of the other clubs is holding us back. That’s why I believe a fairer of split of prize money and a certain percentage of European prize money would greatly improve the overall standard of the league… if that money was used wisely!

Yep. There has to be a concerted effort by all to maximise the revenues for all.

The money has to be used wisely as well. I used to know Stuart Brown ex chairman of Stirling Albion and they had agreed to use their ‘Rangers money’ to secure the future of the club for years but all that happened was players that were on £x amount suddenly wanted £xx as they knew the clubs had money. Hope that makes sense.
