We need another quality CB after witnessing what we have left in the cupboard. I do fear the worse if we lost Vinny or Ota, or both to injury or suspension, as we will struggle badly having to rely on Mangala or Toisin. You need one of CB to be a leader and organiser and unfortunately neither of them have that quality.

Kalidou!I think there are other CB's who we can get for less money who will do equally well. As good as Van Dijk is the price is just way over the top.
Again, like Walker I really like this guy. But just like I thought 50 mil was a ripoff. 80 moon will be grossly overpriced ripoff regardless of talent.He may well be over £80 Mill in the Summer. Think he may struggle with the tag of being the worlds most expensive defender. Not a gamble i'd take.
There are at least 4 CB who are as good or almost as good (and would be great in our system) who would all cost less than half of that.
Lad at Leicester Harry better investment.

So if none of the long term targets were available Jan, would a 6 month loan deal for sideshow be an idea as backup
