Centre Midfield

It is clear that we are being built for the 2017-18 season, and this upcoming season is about Pep getting to grips with the Prem and making certain we are in amongst the Top Four for that year's Chumps Lge (and that we get into the latter stages this season), while hopefully winning a domestic pot!

I think that is the reason some still have worries. I personally feel we need to go for the title this season. Next season could be even more difficult with it being Mourinho's second season (that's almost like the title being given to him, even Pep couldn't stop him with Barcelona) and Conte's Chelsea would be a force with an almost unbreachable defense.

Mourinho's United needs more than they have already, and I think his spiel is getting old. Conte, if he wants a defence like a steel trap, is going to need three or four world class defenders, because he doesn't have them now. The best defender on that team is Kante!!!

I think what Pep has done this preseason is get a march on NEXT season, by bringing in the talent that needs a year to mature in the Prem. I, for one, am going to love watching this new squad grow together!

Looking at the training photos and videos yaya looks at least a stone lighter than last year. Can see him still having a huge role to play.

Nope, not overly worried. We have loads of midfielders and have bought well. Pep is a manager who works with and improves players, lets see how much better they can play under Pep because as far as I am concerned we have NEVER seen the best out of them under Pellers.

Hmmmm, hard to believe there is so much hand wringing considering the talent we have all over the park now. Internationals will be on the bench, with a couple of youngsters alongside them, yet we are STILL not happy. We are EVERY bookies favorites for the title, still not happy!!! Most people think Yaya, Nasri, Sterling, Iheanacho, Fernando, Mangala and Otamendi won't be getting a game, yet not enough???

Pep is reshaping the tea in his own image and a few players will soon realize they are going to be playing second fiddle THIS season and out the door next.

The future is BLUE!
Top 3 mate. We should be avoiding to finish fourth at all costs. We've got a nice draw this year (will still be tough) but could easily get drawn against a really decent side one year and not qualify.

Has to be top 3!

Definitely agree. I'm aware that Gundogan's latest injury was a bit of a freak but he does have a less than perfect injury history. So my worry is that we are only an accident away from having the same midfield as last season, with the added problem of Yaya being a year older.

From a quality stand point, we do need somebody in there.
