CFG Expansion | Başakşehir to join? (p70)

Hard to find news on AJ Ajaccio's appeal with respect to their relegation, but FSG's attempt to buy Bordeaux has fallen through and they're set to be relegated as well due to financial issues, so it feels likely that Troyes is in the clear. Not sure if there is a drop dead date for the final decisions.. lots of scheduling implications.

One final update hopefully -- AJ Ajaccio had their appeal accepted and will remain in Ligue 2, but due to the FSG offer to buy Bordeaux falling through, they've accepted their demotion and Troyes should therefore remain in Ligue 2.

(Google translated) "While discussions had resumed in recent days, FSG representatives indicated yesterday, Monday July 22, to FC Girondins de Bordeaux and its shareholder their intention not to pursue them despite the assurances provided by various stakeholders. Therefore, in the absence of new elements, FC Girondins de Bordeaux has withdrawn the appeal lodged against the DNCG's decision dated July 9, 2024.
As a result, FC Girondins de Bordeaux accepts the sanction of administrative demotion within the National 1 Championship for the 2024/2025 season and will be summoned again to present its budget to the DNCG."

Not seen much said since the other day about this one and I'm not sure what the whole truth is but it would be nice to have a Dutch side in the CFG family, hopefully Vitesse Arnhem fans after the club benefitted from their long-term partnership with Chelsea, aren't as daft the NAC Breda fans who were clearly brainwashed by the City hating media.

It'd be nice to help Vitesse Arnhem out who've fallen on seriously hard times just like Palermo did, regardless of what happens whether they become a Red Bull or CFG team in the future, reckon their supporters will be a lot more open minded and less hostile than the NAC Breda fans.

All this taking over of other clubs leaves me a bit cold if I am being honest, smacks of fucking monopoly.
Stops the rags doing it & they would if they were well organised enough to be able to afford to.
They’ll be following our lead now Berrarda is there

Met an NAC fan on holiday 7 years ago and he was very complimentary about City and they are his English side. Not all fans are the same. We talk quite often about both of our clubs.
