Chairman Khaldoon Year End Review

The fact that the ownership has expressed this sentiment will be flushed down the media's collective memory hole by breakfast time tomorrow. The CL is the most hyped up, phony, fake elitist, up it's own arse tournament in history but the shitwit journos will always deny that, just as they will always indulge in ridiculous propaganda about how players regard involvement in the CL as more important than the size of their wages and how you can't sign the best if your club misses out on CL football. All bollocks. And don't get me started on the fake veneration of that pathetic anthem they play and how disrespectful and small time City fans are to boo it.

Unfortunately we have to separate our dislike of the competition and the owners and probably most of the staffs desire to win it for financial and kudos reasons. It’s the biggest draw in club football and brings in too much to be apathetic about.

It’s like being asked to join the Masons you might think it’s a bit wank but your wallet will thank you. You just have to hold your nose.

Plus when we do win it a lot of dicks will be unhappy about it so we have that as a motivation.

The CL is a stage where players get global recognition for success. It goes beyond money, kudos and fans for them.

Just because he is saying the words doesn’t mean he believes them. I wouldn’t want to have been his cat after the Lyon game.

In fairness he said he wasn’t happy about the champions league but he has to be professional about it. I’m sure everyone at the club knows the score.
