Who do you suggest that has a better atmosphere then?

sunderland, west brom, newcastle
Newcastle yes the atmosphere is very good but the Stadium of Light is never properly full week in week out. And I like to think that we have a better atmosphere than West Brom but maybe I am looking through sky blue tinted glasses...

I don't go aways anymore but my favourite grounds for atmosphere in recent years have got to be Sunderland and Villa park!

Thought your post was odd. If you don't go anymore, how can you comment on the atmosphere? I think last season was excellent.

Especially after the derby at Etihad when nearly everyone in the stadium stayed behind for at least 10 minutes after the game - an evening kick off but who cared about getting home.

I wouldn't say that tbh and I think it will only get worse with the johnny come latelys! Thats why I give up the good view to sit behind the goal where it's only generally half decent and not amazing like it used to be!

You do get the odd game that's good but more often than not its shocking!

I sat in the Newcastle end last season and considering they were going for a top 4 spot I was expecting loads of atmos from them. They were as poor as we've been for a dull home game a couple of seasons ago.

Stoke or Everton for me are the loudest at home.

I agree with the earlier poster, I can imagine some people will be having a moan if we're not battering teams by half time. It's up to us in the SS and the prawnies in 111 etc to keep the noise up.

Always makes me smile when people say it used to be amazing as if it was every game. Even back in the halcyon days of the standing Kippax I can remember games where the atmosphere was flat. Granted when it was good it was quality but when it's good at our new stadium it's still quality.

Sunderland no longer have a good atmosphere and haven't for a good few years. Hardly ever sell-out, plenty of empty seats and little atmosphere.

I would have sat with my head in a box of cotton wool all last season to experience those last couple of minutes.......

Last season the majority of the games the atmosphere was good. The north stand and blocks 142 etc have stepped up from previous seasons.

I went to both Newcastle and Sunderland last year. Neither matched the Etihad for the majority of the games last year, even though Sunderland had a new manager and were on a good run and Newcastle were going for a champions league place.
